Dr. Sarah takes a holistic approach to healthcare and believes in the importance of maintaining our optimal health to prevent disease and injury. She believes that movement is an integral pillar of health and moving well is important for maximizing our quality of life. She believes that the role of the health care provider is to evaluate, support, and encourage patients to take responsibility for their own health, by teaching them about their body and giving them tools to foster independence to continue on their own. Her approach to treatment includes a combination of manual techniques including soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, manipulation as well as mobility and strengthening exercises, and movement training.
She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo in 2012 and then went on the earn the distinguished Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification in 2016. She has worked with both pediatric, adolescent and adults in the orthopedic and sports setting and particularly enjoys working with the active adolescent and adult. As a life-long athlete, she values the importance of regular exercise in maintaining not only physical health, but mental well-being. She has a passion for helping others return to and continue to participate in regular activity and sport.
In addition, Dr. Sarah is trained through the Herman and Wallace Institute in pelvic floor physical therapy rehabilitation and currently serves as a teaching assistant for the institute. She has worked primarily with women in this capacity and enjoys helping women through the challenges of pregnancy, post-partum, and pelvic-related issues to improve their quality of life. As a young mom herself, she relates to women in this season and can tailor her care to meet their needs well.

Dr. Sarah earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in 2009 (University of Toledo) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012 from the University of Toledo. Go Rockets!

Dr Sarah has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the ABPTS since 2016. She has extensive experience treating a variety of orthopedic condition including pre-and post-surgical rehabilitation, joint replacement, trauma rehabilitation, pediatric, adolescent and adult orthopedic and sports injuries.

Dr. Sarah has 6 years of experience treating women’s health and pelvic floor dysfunction. She is trained through the Herman and Wallace Institute and serves as a teaching assistant for Herman and Wallace.

Dr. Sarah has experience with public speaking in the community, at local and national conferences on a variety of topics including pelvic health and sports physical therapy and rehabilitation issues.
